Team Meeting Idea
When I was up in Anchorage last week, I spoke to a man who provided mediation/consultation services to schools that had children with severe behavior problems. He made the most wonderful suggestion and I wanted to share it with everyone. Whenever a meeting was planned, he would request that the parent bring in a picture of the student. The picture was placed on the table for everyone to see – it became a visual reminder that the meeting was all about the child. What a simple way to try to keep the best interests of the student as the focus. This could be used for any meeting you may have where the student is not present. Give it a try!
